HelpArgentina works with a network of more than 55 NGOs that adhere to a set of criteria related to transperency, responsibility, and accountability. To become part of the HelpArgentina network, organizations enter an agreement to deliver reports not only to its donors but also to other individuals, given that all the information on the work they are doing is for public knowledge and concrete facts can be found on our website for whoever would like to see it. We believe that this accountability is an obligation of these organizations and a right of the people.
Examples of the most important requirements that an organization needs to adhere to so that they may become a Member of HelpArgentina include that :
- The organization should be registered under Argentine legal norms, in one of the organizational models that exist under Argentine laws for non-profit organizations (civil organizations, foundations, cooperatives, mutual partnerships, etc.)
- No member of the Board of Directors and/or the auditing department of the organization may recieve compensation for their job.
- Minimum of 2 years since legal registration of the organization.
- More than 60% of the funds of the organization are used for programs and projects of the organization.
- Less than 25% of the annual budget can be used to pay salaries.
- The organization must present its balances and reports in due time and proper course
